Poldhu Cove was the transmitter for the first transatlantic radio signal. A signal went from Poldhu Wireless Station to Guglielmo Marconi at Signal Hill in St. John's Newfoundland , Canada on December 12, 1901.
The centre now houses transmitting equipment and a number of fascinating exhibits.
